Our house is located on the south end of Lake Tenkiller, near Gore, Oklahoma. Both Fin and Feather Resort and Soda Steve's Restaurant are within walking distance. The Tenkiller Dam can be seen from the large front porch, which we love to hang out on. The closest marinas are Strayhorn Marina and Pine Cove, less than eight miles away, which can also be seen from the front porch. These marinas both offer boat rentals and a day ramp if you want to bring your own boat. Our house has three bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king size bed and a master bath, including a rain shower and a jacuzzi tub with a 40" flat screen television. The guest rooms are located across the living space and share a bathroom with a combo tub/shower. The front guest room as a bunk bed with a full size mattress on bottom and a twin size mattress on top. The back guest room has a queen size bed. The common living area has a propane fireplace, a 55" flat screen TV and a sectional. There is room for one blow up mattress in the living room if needed. The kitchen area has a table that can seat eight people, a bar area that can seat four people, a fridge, microwave, dishwasher and gas oven/range. We also have a Keurig for coffee and basic dish essentials with a few pots and pans. The front porch is extremely well lit, complete with fans, a picnic table and a 70" flat screen TV.

The log cabin is a very open and spacious 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom 1200 sq. foot log cabin. One bedroom has a queen bed and the other bedroom has 2 twin beds. Stored in a chest in the queen bedroom is a 22" high, queen size air mattress, with extra bed linens, that will fit easily in the living area for more sleeping space if needed. There is also a queen size hide-a-bed in the living area that may be used for extra guests. The spacious bathroom has a shower, toilet and sink. The log cabin is handicapped accessible. The open living, dining and kitchen area have plenty of seating. The kitchen area has a microwave, range and refrigerator. There are vinyl plank floors in the living area and laminate floors in the bedrooms. The living area has vaulted ceilings and there are high ceilings in the bedrooms. The log cabin shares the privately owned, gated, 37 acres with an A-frame cabin, that is also available for rent. Listing #571167. The A-frame cabin is located approximately 300 yards south of the log cabin. There is a storm shelter on the property just in case of a storm warning. The property can be explored by walking trails or you can try catching fish in the pond. There is also a maze mowed in the field you can walk through. Older, partially renovated 3 bdrm cabin, perfect for a family getaway. However, we have several couples that enjoy having a little extra space that mention the 'cozy factor', so it's great for two as well. The cabin is available for month-to-month rentals during the winter months until May for 2 people. Negotiable for 4 people. Perfect for those traveling on work assignments. It's about 25 minutes to the hospitals in Tahlequah (14 miles), and 45 minutes (36 miles) to the hospital in Muskogee. It's probably a little far for someone on call for emergencies. The one-level cabin has had various additions over the years, so it has a bit of a quirky look to it. However, it has knotty pine interior, lots of windows as well as french doors, and you feel like you are on top of the world when looking out over the lake and hills. It has the appearance of a mobile home from the outside, but actually it isn't. It has the feel of a traditional lake cottage. There is nothing fancy about it. The living room has a leather sectional and large older TV with Dish Network and DVD/BlueRay with hookups for most gaming systems using the old fashioned connections (analog). There are two smaller TVs that have HDMI hookups. There are puzzles, games, and a few movies. French doors open to the back deck and backyard with firepit. There is a beautiful cedar dining table for 6 in the open floor plan, and a wood stove insert with glass doors. Wood is provided. There is a reading chair in the corner by the woodstove. The spacious Master Bedroom has a king-sized log bed and new memory foam mattress. It also has several windows and french doors that open out to the deck. There is a comfy old (kinda ugly) chair for relaxing and a 32 inch flat screen TV with DVD/Blue Ray in an entertainment center. No Dish service in this room. The 'Shabby Chic' bedroom has a new queen mattress and is decorated in a vintage theme. It faces the front of the house. The 'Kids' Room' is a renovated sunroom with two twin beds with memory foam toppers, lots of windows to view the lake, and french doors that open to the front deck. There is a TV, Wii, and Playstation 2 with a few games and toys. Younger children are welcome but there are many small objects that might pose a choking hazard, such as Legos. The beds will sleep adults under 6 feet tall. The kitchen is small with newer appliances and the common cooking utensils/pans. It's a one-person kitchen. The cabinets are simple and older. Coffee, tea, and creamer are provided along with a few spices. One small bathroom with tub/shower. Linens for indoor use are provided. Please bring beach towels and lawn blankets. The laundry room is at the end of the house with a separate outside entrance. Laundry soap is provided. There is a large deck in the front of the property (non-lake side) with BBQ and dining table. There is a propane grill. Propane is provided. There are two circular driveways, with plenty of room for boat parking. We have a strict no-pet policy. Smoking is permitted outside away from open windows. We also have 'The Little Cabin' for rent next door, perfect for 2. There is another fire pit between the properties as well. Although the two cabins are not wheelchair accessible, they are both on one level and are fairly easy to access for those with a few physical challenges. We have a shower chair available upon request. We've had several people ask about having weddings on the property, but unfortunately we aren't able to handle large gatherings. Our insurance has restrictions, and we don't have the bathroom facilities. We structured our pricing to make it cheaper when fewer than 6 stay. Our biggest costs are for cleaning and linens. The only way we can keep our costs down is to charge more for a full house. We also time our cleaning around the expected number of beds to change for both cabins, and last minute surprises are expensive and delay turn-around. Please help us so we can try to keep our costs as low as possible by booking for the correct number of guests. There seems to be a glitch in the homeaway/vrbo notification system so we are not getting all reservation requests when they are booked. We do get Inquiries via text so maybe do an Inquiry first and then go ahead and book. If you don't hear from us in a few hours then text because we probably didn't see the request. Don't call as there are too many telemarketers. Other owners are having the same trouble.

Our home will sleep 10 comfortably. There is a master suite with king bed and full bath. Second bedroom has queen. Bunk room has two full beds and two twins. Second bedroom and Bunk room share full bath. Kids can enjoy the ping pong table or play horshoes, while adults enjoy the beautiful lake view from the deck. Kitchen has everything you need if you like to cook. Brand new stainless appliances, granite counter tops. If you prefer the outdoors, you can grill on the gas grill on the deck. During football season you can watch games on the sixty inch TV. There is a washer and dryer if you need to get caught up on laundry.

The second bedroom contains a queen bed with a memory foam mattress. There is also a full bathroom upstairs with a single vanity. The loft contains a sleeper sofa (queen) and a BEAUTIFUL TREETOP VIEW of Lake Tenkiller! Outdoors you'll find the gas grill , dining table, gas fire table, and stairs leading to the stone fire pit located in the front yard. Observe wildlife and enjoy privacy at Guide House as one side of the property is surrounded by trees with only wooded lots immediately below. Cabin road and driveway does not allow for boat parking. The A-frame cabin is a spacious, 1800 sq.ft., 2 story lake-view getaway situated on 37 privately owned acres. It has recently been updated with new siding, paint, windows and patio door. The first floor has a large open kitchen, dining area, living room with a queen size pullout couch. Also on the first floor, there is a full bathroom and private bedroom with a queen bed. A sliding glass door opens up onto the lake-view patio from the living area. Out on the patio there is a table, 14 outdoor chairs, and a charcoal grill. There is also a fire pit with plenty of wood to burn provided by the owner. Upstairs there is a second 3/4 bathroom, private bedroom with queen bed and a large bunk room that has 3 full size beds and 1 queen bed. The bunk room opens up to a small lake-view landing with stairs going down to the outdoor lower patio. A portion of the 37 acres is mowed and the rest is wooded. There are mowed trails for hiking and exploring the woods. Two ponds are also on the property. Fishing is allowed but you will have to go to the lake to swim. Access to the lake is a mile and a half away at Pettit Bay Campground. There is a field maze mowed into the property. The maze is great fun and may even be challenging for some. There is no hunting or shooting allowed on the property. There are public hunting grounds located close to the property. If you are interested in hunting, we will be happy to provide you with information on the public hunting areas. Just in case there is a storm warning during your stay, there is a storm shelter available on the property. There is a second vacation rental on the property. It is located 300 yards to the north, down the hill from the A-frame. The log cabin vacation rental sleeps six and it can be viewed at listing #693135. If you are planning to float the scenic Illinois River, the property is 25 minutes from the Illinois River. There are many float trip places available along Highway 10 for renting a raft or canoe. If you love the outdoors, want to be minutes away from the lake, or just want to get a feel of rural living, come stay at the A-frame at Pettit Mountain Ranch.

Mountaintop One-Room Cabin, Sleeps 2, above Pettit Bay with incredible views. Enjoy gorgeous views of Lake Tenkiller from this cozy one-room cabin perched on top of Pettit Mountain in NE Oklahoma. We are taking extra precautions with cleaning. This 600 sq. ft. cabin offers everything you’ll need for a relaxing get-away. There is a log-queen bed, full bath, a comfy sofa in front of a rock fireplace with a wood stove insert, and a 37 inch flat-screen TV with DVD/blue-ray player and Dish satellite. We just hooked up new high-speed internet. Bring a streaming device, like Apple TV or Roku. Netflix and Amazon Prime are loaded into the system, but you'll need to use your password to log in. The kitchenette has a small stove/oven, granite counter tops, fridge, and microwave. The dining table sits by the large picture window overlooking the lake and forest. The covered back porch has cedar-log rocking chairs and you can feel the breezes coming off of the lake. All bedding and linens are provided. Some people bring citronella candles for the porch and newspapers to burn. (Use non-shiny ones for the woodstove). Again, the “Little Cabin” is really designed only for 2 people. Our little cabin is perfect for families. Secluded in the woods only a mile from a Dollar General and convince store. The master bedroom features a queen bed with ample closet space. The other bedroom has twin bunk beds with a ladder to the top bunk that kids love. The futon in the living room is new, and folds out to a comfy full sized bed. The master bedroom has a DVD player and the living room television has DirectTV with a DVD player. The kitchen has a refrigerator, oven, pots , pans, dishes , glasses, dishwasher, and microwave; every comfort of home. The bathroom has an enclosed shower. Central air and ceiling fans in every main area. The front deck has a seating for eighth including a four-seat wrought table. Grill on the gas grill on the front deck, or make a fire at the pit.
